Organic Virgin Coconut Oil

VCO naturally has anti-bacterial, anti-viral, and anti-fungal properties attributed to its high lauric acid content. Claims that VCO is unhealthy due to its high saturated fat content is misleading, as the saturated fat content of VCO is mainly in the form of lauric acid, or a type of medium-chain fatty acid (MCFA) or medium-chain triglyceride (MCT). What is being referred to as unhealthy is what is found in the usual human diet, both saturated and unsaturated long-chain fatty acids (LCFA).
Suggested daily intake is 1 tablespoon (15 mL) per 50 kg body weight per day, after meals. Alternative uses of VCO include light cooking, mixing in salads, baking, rubbing on skin and hair, and more.
Coconut oil naturally turns solid at cold temperature, this does not affect the quality of the oil when it returns to liquid form.
